The founding principals of Emerging Energies Pvt Ltd have been driven by Social, Economic and Environmental sustainability.

Social sustainability:

The proposed project activity leads to alleviation of poverty by establishing direct and indirect benefits through employment generation and improved economic activities by strengthening the local grid of the state electricity utility.

Economic sustainability:

With the proposed project activity employment opportunities will eventually increase in the local area, thereby uplifting the economic conditions of the local population. The project creates direct employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers during fabrication. In addition, the project also creates direct permanent employment for operation and maintenance of the deployed units. By promoting the decentralization of economic power, the project contributes in bringing economic sustainability around the plant site.

Environmental sustainability:

The hydroelectric project has no negative environmental impacts because it relies on existing river releases and it does not involve any tree cutting or any submersion etc. as there is no impoundment required for our units. The project utilizes hydro energy for generating electricity which otherwise would have been generated through fossil fuel based power plants. Our production will contribute to the reduction in specific emissions (emissions of pollutant/unit of energy generated) including GHG emissions. Being a renewable resource, using hydel energy to generate electricity contributes to resource conservation. Thus the project causes no negative impact on the surrounding environment thereby contributing to environmental wellbeing. As hydel power projects produce no end products in the form of solid waste (ash etc.), the project contributes in bringing environmental sustainability. Principals' Background

Deepak Singh, CEO as an Engineer was responsible for in developing Real Estate projects of various sizes. Presently, his focus lies in furthering research and development of renewable energies. After graduating as a Civil Engineer from IIT Delhi, he proceeded to USA where he did his Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington , India with a concentration in Finance and Industrial Management. This combination of a technical background with an eye on Finance helped him develop projects that are not only technically sound and innovative but are also financially feasible with tremendous growth opportunities.

Chandan A. Singh, President, (MS program for Environmental Engineering at George Washington University, Washington DC and MBA in Marketing from Robbins School of Business, Georgia State University at Atlanta, Georgia, USA) offers immense experience in the Renewable Energy and Environmental field having worked with Washington, D.C. based World Resources Institute, a well known Think Tank in the Environmental field. In addition to his career and educational background, Chandan's passion for preserving the environment is well demonstrated by the fact that he was one of the few candidates selected by Vice President Al Gore for training and disseminating the message on Global Warming.
